Jennifer "Jen" Kessy (born July 31, 1977) is an American beach volleyball player who plays professionally on the Nivea AVP Tour.[1] She won the AVP Most Improved Player award in 2004. Kessy competed with Olympian Barb Fontana in 2004 and Olympic Bronze Medalist Holly McPeak in 2005. Currently, she plays with fellow USC Trojan April Ross. On July 4, 2009 Kessy and Ross won the FIVB World Championships in Stavanger, Norway defeating Brazilians Juliana and Larissa. Kessy was AVP "Best of the Beach" in 2008 and 2009, the only player to win the title in two consecutive years.
Kessy graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in History and was a member of the volleyball team for all four years (1995–1998). She was an All-American in 1998. Kessy was also a member of the U.S. Junior National Team. She played indoors professionally for the Chicago Thunder in 2002 and in Puerto Rico in 2003.
Jennifer Kessy is also a graduate of Dana Hills High School, located in Dana Point, California.
